Description
CORDOBOND PATCHING AND BONDING COMPOUND is a two-component, liquid, high tensile strength repair material, consisting of resin and activator. When mixed together, a chemical reaction takes place to produce a hard, tough thermosetting resin seal.
CORDOBOND Standard Resin is used to saturate high strength Glass Cloth, Mat or Tape to provide dimensional stability, impact and tensile strength. It is abrasion and corrosion resistant and is not affected by moderately high or sub-zero temperatures.

Activated CORDOBOND Standard Resin requires no external heat to cure. The material has excellent resistance to water, oil, gasoline, alcohol, acids, gases, and other contaminants.

Applications
CORDOBOND Standard Resin can be used in every phase of industry including marine, refineries, public utilities, farming and chemical.

CORDOBOND Standard Resin adheres tenaciously to most any surfaces including steel, metals, wood, ceramics, etc. Combined with glass cloth, mat or tape reinforcing materials it can be used for armoring, reinforcing, bonding, laminating and repairing leaks in storage tanks, vessels, exhaust lines, bulkheads, machinery, flanges, joints, condenser water boxes and piping.

General Patching Conditions
Clean all surfaces thoroughly, removing all paint, grease, dirt, etc. The adhesion of a CORDOBOND Standard Resin repair depends upon the condition of the surface of the substrate with which it is in direct contact.

Do not mix resin and activator until actually ready to use. Resin container is slack filled to permit addition of activator for mixing. Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing. Use rubber gloves, goggles and protective clothing. Follow the safety instruction given in data sheet entitled, "Hazards and Handling Precautions Bulletin for CORDOBOND Systems."
