Porcelain Enamel

Ferro has long been the world’s leading supplier of porcelain enamel and we are closing in on a century of meeting consumers' needs. As a global technology innovator and manufacturer, we provide state-of-the-art porcelain enamel products to industries that demand high quality and durability in their finishes. Industries such as major appliances, sanitary ware, water heaters, cookware and grills, and building panels are just a few of the many that desire the quality of Ferro porcelain enamel.

Our innovative technologies and ready-to-use formulations, as well as Ferro Perc® Powder Enamel for electrostatic application, have become benchmarks of the industry. Ferro Perc® provides manufacturers with the “green” combination of energy efficiency and environmental protection.

Innovation continues to be our strong suit, with the recent introduction of three new technologies:

AquaRealEase® coating was developed as an environmentally-friendly, easy-clean oven alternative to present self-cleaning oven technology. Baked on soils can be removed with a simple exposure to moisture, eliminating the requirement for dirty, high energy consuming self-clean cycles or harsh alkaline cleaners. AquaRealEase® is the "green" alternative for cleaning ovens.
Evolution® performance enamel is in high-demand for its unique appearance for a variety of metals. The Evolution® coating line provides appearances like stainless steel or copper with the superior stain resistance, scratch resistance and color stability of a ceramic. Evolution® is also specified by grill and appliance manufacturers for its beauty, durability and cost efficiency
RealEase® is an environmentally friendly, ceramic non-stick coating developed as a replacement for conventional non-stick coatings that are widely used on cookware. RealEase is FDA-conformable for direct food contact and meets the 2015 EPA guidelines for emissions.

Ferro porcelain enamels are fired from 880 to 1,600°F, depending on the substrate and formulation. In general, porcelain enamel bonds to metal substrates.
