PDI Type 48 colorants are smooth, workable pastes comprised of the highest-quality pigments dispersed in a DINP plasticizer, totally compatible with all polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resin formulations.
Colorant vehicle
Di-iso-nonyl phthalate, a monomeric phthalate ester which provides good permanence, low-temperature flexibility, and good heat and light stability for polyvinyl chloride and other thermoplastic resins. This industry standard has FDA approval for certain packaging applications. This monomeric phthalate ester's wide range of compatibility makes it an ideal color carrier for such resins as:
- Acrylics
- Alkyds
- Cellulose
- Cellulose
acetate-butyrate
acetate-proprionate
- Chlorinated rubber
- Ethyl cellulose
- Nitrile
- Nitro-cellulose
- Phenolics
- Polyamides
- Polycarbonates
- Polyesters
- Polystyrene
- Polyvinyl butyl
- Polyvinylidene chloride
- PVC
- SBR
