A ceramic glaze manufacturer such as Ferro is constantly pushing the boundaries of ceramic technology.
However, technology and technical developments in ceramics by themselves have less and less appeal to the consumer - the ultimate end user of fashion trends.
But it is the combination of the latest ceramic glaze technology and fashion trends together, which is interesting for both the premier tile manufacturers and consumers alike.
Ferro's new technology, when applied with the latest designs and colors, enables the premier tile manufacturers to reach new heights with their products, and allows them to follow the latest fashion trends in ceramics, when previously perhaps, only wallpaper or textiles could follow these trends.
MOODS 2004, Ferro's trend publication issued in 2003, represents a key to understand social changes and new ideas. At the same time it introduces materials and colors that will last beyond any single season and go hand in hand with the cultural revolution already under way.
