Events promoted by Alisea Art Gallery in Bologna and by Plana per Grandesign, Milan.

The second edition of the exhibition International Grandesign Award Ethical Design-DesignEtico 2007, promoted by Alisea art Gallery - Bologna and the cultural association Plana for Grandesign - Milan, is open to the public from the 26th of September to the 8th of October, 2006.

The Grandesign event, a long-time meeting point for designers and businesses, will feature a part of the collection exhibited in April at a Fuorisalone initiative in Milan.

The biennial Grandesign Award aims at stressing the ways by which a design object can be  developed and manufactured, with special attention to people and their fundamental characteristics. Ethics in design becomes in this way the witness of a specific way of living.
 
Ferro Corporation, a leading producer of ceramic colors and glazes,  will be present at the exhibition in the section dedicated to ethical industrial design, taking place in Bologna during the same days of Cersaie.  Ferro's exhibit will feature design objects already made, using Ferro's color product line.  Ferro also will exhibit its 2007 diary totally in recycled materials -- evidence, once more, that a proper combination between environmental care, ethics, creativity and design is possible.

For the first time this year, the ethical attitude of the Grandesign’s participants is collected in a book called "Ethical Commitment Gallery,"  to be presented during the opening of the Grandesign exhibition on the 26th of September 2006, beginning from 7 pm at Alisea art Gallery, via Azzo Gardino 8, Bologna, Italy.
