As a preferred industry source, Ferro offers a large portfolio of optimal dielectric material systems for specific component designs and processing requirements.  This portfolio includes precious metal (PME) and base-metal (BME) compatible dielectrics. 

In addition to dielectric powders, Ferro can often supply matched electrode and termination inks   designed to help reduce product development cycles and to optimize the performance of electronic components.


FERRO EIA CLASS I COG TYPE FORMULATED DIELECTRIC POWDERS

High Fire COG Type Dielectric Powders
Our High Fire COG type powders are compatible with precious metal conductors and air-fire in the 1280°C -1340°C range.  Inner electrode compositions range from 100% Pd to 30%Ag/70%Pd. 
Low Fire COG Type Dielectric Powders 
Our Low Fire COG type powders are compatible with precious metal conductors and air-fire in the 1100 to 1150°C range.  Typical inner electrode composition is 70%Ag/30%Pd. 
Ultra Low Fire COG Type Dielectric Powders
Our Ultra Low Fire (ULF) COG type powders are compatible with precious metal conductors and air-fire in the 860°C to 990°C range.  Inner electrode compositions range from 90%Ag/10%Pd to 100%Ag.
Most COG type dielectric powders are formulated and processed to be RoHS and REACH compliant.
Base Metal Electrode (BME) COG Type Dielectric Powders
Our BME COG dielectric powders are compatible with 100% Ni inner electrodes and fire in low pO2 atmospheres in the 1200 to 1225°C range.  Re-oxidation / annealing is required after firing.
All BME COG type dielectric powders are formulated and processed to be RoHS and REACH compliant .
