s1de ONE glass enamels offer a highly durable color range used for first surface exterior glass applications. 

This intermixable color range does not contain intentional additions of lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), mercury (hg) and hexavalent chromium, (Cr+6 ), and is formulated with strict controls to minimize color drift, resulting in superior lot-to-lot consistency.

For exterior applications, S1de ONE’s durable color range can be used to replicate effects such as wood and stone opening up many new design possibilities for architects, offering a wider range of aesthetics and special effects in comparison to conventional flat glass enamels that are applied on Surface 2 that are viewed through the glass.


PROTECTION AND PERFORMANCE
The excellent reflection properties of S1de ONE flat glass enamels provide a large advantage over typical mirror effect used on glass facades including:

  • UV Resistance/weathering resistance (S1de ONE)
  • increased chemical durability and weatherability (S1de ONE)

s1de ONE specific surface properties offer endless options for design combinations that are achievable when coupled with the natural transparency and reflection of glass.
For interior applications, S1de ONE resistant colors can also be used to create innovative designs for modern kitchen work surfaces. 

S1de ONE colors have also been tested in accordance with GANA specifications for spandrel glass used in building windows and other architectural applications. They are formulated for typical glass tempering cycles with furnace temperatures set at 1275-1310 °F (690-710 °C) with a total cycle time of 40 seconds per millimeter of glass thickness.  The firing temperature is higher compared to other Ferro architectural products to ensure higher durability.
