25 Series Two-Pack System
Ferro offers a two-component system of environmentally friendly waterborne coatings formulated for spray application used in high-speed glass bottle decoration and bottle filling lines.
Ferro’s waterborne coatings offer higher performance than ceramic inks and cure at a much lower temperature than glass enamels. Available in a wide range of colors, our coatings provide decorators with the ability to produce an almost infinite number of colors, allowing the creation of innovative designs on various glass container applications.
Additionally, color concentrates can be mixed with base coats to provide further options for on-site color mixing and matching. Once the coating is ready to apply, it has a pot life of about 4 hours.
Note: Curing at 200ºC - 210ºC is essential to achieve the desired adhesion and scuff resistance.
The 25 Series is available worldwide, except in North America.

VALUE ADDED SERVICES
We offer a standard mixing palette of colors, which gives our customers the flexibility of tailoring mixings and color matches on-site.
Our basic mixing capabilities include providing high-gloss clears, opaque, metallic, pearlescent and matte colors to colored imitation acid etches. These coating mixes can be applied singly or in combination as an all-over even finish or to deliver diffused flow-out effects.
Ferro provides complete custom color matching services to help our customers develop new color shades and coatings according to specific requirements, including production methods and desired finishes.
Precise color matching can be achieved using our internal extensive database and color matching expertise. All colors are matched to defined reference samples, to ensure exact and consistent color reproduction from batch to batch. We also work with common color card systems and formula guides like Pantone©, RAL and HKS.
